Itinerary

During this 6-day journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Himachal Pradesh and Spiti Valley, you’ll embark on an unforgettable adventure.

Day 1 – Manali to Kaza (185 Kms/Approx. 8-9 Hrs):**

Your expedition begins in the morning as you depart from Manali and head towards Kaza. En route, you’ll make several remarkable stops including Atal Tunnel, Koksar for a tea/coffee break, Chhatru for some refreshments, and Batal for lunch at Chacha-Chachi Dhaba. You’ll also traverse Kunzum La, a pass at an elevation of 4551 meters, and finally reach Losar, the first village of Spiti Valley, where you’ll check in to your hotel or homestay.

Day 2 – Kaza Sightseeing:**

Your morning is leisurely, and in the afternoon, you’ll explore various attractions in Kaza. These include Langza Village, where you’ll find the iconic Buddha Statue, the Fossil Park for a walk around the cliffs in search of fossils, Komic, which holds the title of the highest inhabited village globally, and the world’s highest post office in Hikkim Village. In the evening, you’ll return to your hotel or guesthouse.

Day 3 – Kaza to Tabo via Pin Valley:**

After breakfast, you’ll set off for Tabo via Pin Valley. Along the way, you’ll visit Gungri Monastery, Sagnam, and Mud, which is the last village in Pin Valley.

Day 4 – Tabo to Kaza via Dhankhar Monastery:**

You’ll travel from Tabo to Kaza via Dhankhar, stopping to explore Tabo Monastery, known for its stunning murals and stucco images, often referred to as “The Ajanta of the Himalayas.” You’ll also have the opportunity to visit Tabo Caves, Dhankhar Fort, take a 2-hour hike to Dhankhar Lake, and explore Lahlung Monastery. Your overnight stay will be at a hotel, homestay, or guesthouse in Kaza.

Day 5 – Kaza to Losar via Kye Monastery:**

After breakfast, you’ll continue your journey from Kaza to Losar. Along the way, you’ll visit Kyee Monastery, one of the largest monasteries in the Spiti Region, Kibber Village known for its wildlife, and the Chicham Bridge, which holds the distinction of being the highest bridge in Asia. Optionally, you can take a short hike from Dhankhar Village to Dhankhar Lake.

Day 6 – Losar to Manali:**

On your final day, you’ll check out from your guesthouse in Losar and commence your return journey to Manali. This leg of the trip includes visits to Chandratal Lake and a passage through Kunzum La Pass, culminating in the conclusion of your remarkable tour.

 

Throughout this itinerary, you’ll have the chance to explore some of the most awe-inspiring natural and cultural wonders that the Himachal Pradesh and Spiti Valley region has to offer.
