A Complete Itinerary For Zanskar Trip Via Manali

Trip to Zansakar and Ladakh Via Manali  

Day 01: Chandigarh to Manali 

Travelling from Chandigarh to Manali is a great way to enjoy panormic views & to witness variety of landscapes. Overnight Stay at Manali. 

Day 02 Manali to Jispa 

After breakfast, check out the hotel and proceed to Jispa. On the way visit Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel, Sissu Waterfall and Godhra Fort. Atal tunnel is a marvel of engineering and is an attraction in itself. It connects Manali to Lahaul-Spiti valley and reduces travel time significantly. Enjoy the scenic views around. Arrive Jispa, Check in to your homestay for dinner and night stay. 

Day 03 Jispa to Purne via Shinku la

Today we would suggest to leave early after breakfast (inform the hotel  previous day about your early breakfast), you will pass through Darcha, Shinkula, A 15-20 min stop in Shinkula – (5,091 m), a thrilling high-altitude pass connecting Lahaul Valley to Zanskar. later proceed to Gumbok Rangan and spend sometime here, you can have your lunch here at a camp site later proceed to Purne. Settle down in your homestay or Camp and later explore the village. Dinner and night stay in the Camp/homestay. 

Day 04 Purne – Phugtal Trek to Padum 

After breakfast set on a trek to Phugtal Monastery (one way it will take 2 hours approximately) Trek to Phugtal Monastery starts from Purne, Phuktal Monastery or Phuktal Gompa is a Buddhist monastery located in the remote Lungnak Valley in south-eastern Zanskar, in the Himalayan region of Ladakh. Visit Monastery, proceed back to prune, have your Lunch and proceed to Padum. If you reach early in Padum visit Karsha Monastery (5Km from Padum). Dinner and night stay at the your homestay. 

Day 05 : Padum to Lamayuru

After breakfast proceed to Lamayuru, on the way visit Sa ni Monastery and lake and proceed to Lamayuru. This route presents spectacular mountain roads, where rugged cliffs, winding rivers, and traditional villages highlight Zanskar’s wild charm. Lamayuru, famous for its Lamayuru Monastery. Founded in the 10th century, the monastery is one of Ladakh’s oldest monastery. Lamayuru is also known for its unique “moonland” landscapes—curious rock formations and terrain that appear otherworldly. Capture some memorable photos, explore the monastery, and experience the mystical aura of this remote place. Spend the night in Lamayuru, surrounded by its magical, moon-like scenery.

Day 06: Lamayuru to Leh

After breakfast visit Lamayuru monastery which is the unique and oldest monastery in Ladakh. After viewing fascinating view of granite colour soil rocks. Arrive in Leh.

Day 07:  – Leh to Nubra Valley (125 Kms / aprx. 06 hrs)

 Leh to Nubra Valley (125 Kms / aprx. 06 hrs) After an early breakfast we drive to NUBRA VALLEY leads through KHARDUNG-LA-PASS (the highest motorable road in the world) at 18,390 ft, around 39 kms from Leh. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Arrive  Hunder by afternoon and rest of the day at leisure to explore beautiful village of Hunder with a Visit to Diskit Monastery. Overnight stay at Camp.

Day 08 – Nubra Valley 

After breakfast proceed to visit Turtuk village, You can visit Turtuk Monastery from where you can also witness K2 on a clear sky. You can hike to a waterfall nearby, take and village walk and explore local cafes, later proceed back to Hunder, evening you can spend in the sand dunes. 

Day 09 – Nubra to Pangong Lake via shayouk river (138.8 km/ approx, 4 hours 30 mins)

After your breakfast drive to pangong Lake Via shayouk River. Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometers at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China. A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Evening at leisure and overnight stay at the Camp on the shore of the Lake.

Day 10 – Pangong Lake/ LEH  (06 hours approx.)

After an early breakfast we leave for Leh over night stay IN LEH

Day 11 –  Depart Leh (Fly Out) Tour concludes.

 Transfer to Domestic Airport to catch the flight for your onward Destination. We hope to serve you yet again!!!

•         Any monastery entrance fees/ rafting charges /Camel Ride & ATV Ride.

•         All Tips – Guide, Driver & Restaurants 

•         Porter age (Coolie charges), laundry, telephone charges, shopping, wines & alcoholic beverages, mineral water (unless specified), items of personal nature and food and drink which is not part of set group menu 

•         Any extra cost incurred on behalf of any individual due to illness, accident, hospitalization or any personal emergency 

•         Any services or activity charges other than those included in Itinerary 

  •         Entrance fees and Guide charges of sightseeing mentioned in the itinerary are not included

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel 30 days before the start date of the trip, you will get 95% refund.

If you cancel 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, you will get 50% refund.

If you cancel 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, you will get no refund.

Payment Terms

We would require only 25% of the total payment to proceed with the bookings 

Second payment 25% is required on or before 01st May 2025

Final Payment to be settled on or before 26th May
